Install the APK
Download the current stable-signed build on the AAPS phone. If an old 0.1.x build will not update, uninstall it once first.
LoopCoachAndroid companion
Replace fragile folder sync.
Install the LoopCoach companion on the same Android phone as AAPS, connect it to the active patient, upload exports straight to LoopCoach, and preview which Health Connect context the phone can provide.
Open Connect
Sign in to LoopCoach as a parent and create a one-time pairing code for the active patient.
Enter one code
Use Open in app, scan the QR code, or type the short code. Connection details are saved securely for you.
Pick the AAPS folder
Choose the AAPS export or preferences folder, then use Scan folder to confirm LoopCoach can see it.
Allow background work
Open app battery settings from the companion and set battery usage to unrestricted.
Health Connect preview
See what the phone actually has.
Grant read access in the companion, then run the 24-hour check. This release keeps the result on the phone and does not upload Health Connect data.
Movement and sleep
Checks steps, exercise sessions and sleep records from the previous 24 hours.
Heart context
Counts heart-rate samples and shows the latest resting heart rate when available.
Wrist temperature
Checks supported wrist skin-temperature deltas as personal trend data, not core temperature.
Dogfood gate
Use Import as the truth screen.
After setup, open Import and wait for these checks to go green. If a tile stays pending, tap it for the next action before trusting the phone to run unattended.
